Costumes listed as In Stock are made of all natural fibers unless otherwise noted.
These pieces are made with drawstrings and pleats to be more historically accurate, ie. no zippers, velcro or elastic will be used.
Portraits and other paintings from the Medieaval and Renaissance time periods will be used as a basis for the pieces created.
Custom Costumes
All custom items will be discussed in great length before work will begin so that I can be assured that you will recieve exactly what you want.
Measurements will need to be made before the garment can be properly fitted. I will provide an electronic form which will list the measurements needed.
Once I have the measurements, I will create and send a mock-up of the item to see if any adjustments need to be made. If adjustments need to be made, mark them on the mock-up and send it back.
Although I specialize in Medieval and Renaissance costuming, I am not limited to those styles only. Have a different type of costume you want? Let me know and we can discuss it.
Fabric
For historical costumes, I prefer working with historical types of fabrics: Cottons, Linens, Wools, Silks. The choice of fabric will be yours, though. If you wish to use a different type of fabric, you are the customer and I am here to serve you.
Fabric may be chosen in one of two ways. You can purchase and wash the fabric yourself which will save you a little money, or you can send me a list of colors and what types of fabric that you are looking for in the garment and I can send you a selection of fabric samples from which you may choose.
Shipping
In stock items will be shipped out withing one week of receiving the order. Unless otherwise requested, they will be shipped via U. S. Postal service.
Custom orders will be shipped once the item is complete and full payment has been received. As stated above, unless otherwise requested these items will be shipped via the U. S. Postal Service.
